I'm subscribed to this couple on Youtube, their videos about Korea are fantastic! Generally because of lack of ingredients, I stick to an egg cooked into it (like in the video) and a slice of Coon Cheese on top, which when melted makes the noodles absolutely delicious. Definitely don't be scared of the idea of the cheese! When it melts the Shin Ramyun experience is so much better. So give it a try, way better than your average cup of 2 minute noodles....
