I was sifting through some of my favourite Youtuber's videos
the other day and a video on how to make chocolate bowls
popped up in the related videos list. Thought
it sounded pretty interesting so I decided
to give it a go.
It's rather basic, simply blow up a small water balloon
to your desired size and dip them in melted chocolate.
(Don't forget to wash and dry the balloons before
dipping them in the chocolate).
Sit them on a baking tray covered in baking
paper (or wax paper), with the knot on top.
Doing this will also create a flat base.
Leave it in the fridge for about 5 minutes (or until hard)
then repeat the process, the double dip will
help create a thicker bowl so it wont break.
When they're finished simply poke a hole into the
thicker part of the balloon (close to the knot) and let it deflate.
Then pull the balloon out. Pop them back into the fridge
to harden up again.
Finally you can top them up with anything you desire
nuts, more chocolates, lollies, ice cream and if you're
game you could even drink out of them (if you wanted to
end up with chocolate all over your fingers that is).
I topped mine up with one scoop of neapolitan twirl ice cream,
2 mini Corinthians and 2 little chocolate hearts that I made with
the left over chocolate.
Enjoy!!
I can never remember what those chocolate waffery things are called!! But no matter what I call them they always taste delicious and fun to drink hot chocolate through :)
ReplyDeleteEvery shop I've been to calls them something different actually
ReplyDeletehaha but Corinthians is usually the more common name.
Coles sells the best tin of Corinthians, the Corinthians at Woolworths taste pretty
strange.. However Woolworths is where I bought the mini Corinthians
(in the biscuit section) from and they taste the same as the
regular size at Coles
