My husband got me a lovely bunch of flowers for our first wedding anniversary and I wanted to share with everyone how to care for them. They only have a short but beautiful life so lets make sure we get the most out of them.
- Most florist will attach a little sachet of flower food (maybe stuck inside the wrapping). Mix this with how ever much water you need in your vase.
- Trim the base of the stem - about 2-3cm up.
- Make sure to cut them all on an angle (like in the picture) as this increases the surface area that absorbs water and can suck up the flower food - trust me, it's good for your flowers.
- Pull of all of the leaves that fall below the water line. Otherwise the go brown and yucky.
- Ta-da! Too lazy to clear the table for a nicer shot but you get the idea. Nice and fresh looking! Goes well with my watermelon table cloth from Spotlight too!
They are gorgeous flowers Cass :) I hope you had an awesome time at Mt Tamborine xo
